Wentworth Shire Council would like to inform the residents of Wentworth that Contractor Insituform will continue to under an asset inspection of the sewer network in Wentworth township. The asset inspection is of the old (1950’s) clay sewer pipes and access pits. Asset inspection will not occur in the East portion of Wentworth township.
Asset inspection will re-commence from Monday 28 April 2025 through to Friday 16 April 2025, works are not expected on weekends and hours will be kept to between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Brief roadwork diversions may be in place for some roads and laneways to enable access to complete the inspections. Access to some backyards will also be required for those properties that have sewer mains located in backyards. Letter drops and additional contact will be made for residence that require access to private property.
Wentworth Shire Council apologises for any inconvenience while this important inspection is undertaken.

Wentworth Shire Council extends its thanks to everyone who attended the NSW Youth Week Outdoor Movie Night on Friday 11 April. The event, organised by students of Coomealla High School with support from Council, was a celebration of youth, creativity and community.

Wentworth Shire Council is pleased to share the success of the Youth Week Outdoor Movie Night held on Friday 11 April 2025 at Gol Gol Football Oval.
More than 300 attendees gathered for an evening of entertainment under the stars, enjoying perfect weather and a relaxed atmosphere as part of the NSW Youth Week 2025 celebrations.
The event was proudly supported by Wentworth Shire Council, with organisational assistance from Wentworth Shire Libraries.
Council extends its congratulations to the students of Coomealla High School, whose collaboration and enthusiasm played a key role in delivering a memorable event for young people in the region.

Wentworth Shire Council advises that Arumpo Road will re-open to all traffic from 4pm today, Friday 11 April 2025.
The road was temporarily closed from the Wamberra Road intersection through to the Euston Prungle Road intersection to allow for the final stage of bitumen sealing works (24.5km).
Council thanks the community for its patience and cooperation during the closure.
